Description

The German Jagdpanther is regarded by the ordnance experts as one of the best tracked weapons systems during the World War 2. The awesome Pak43/3, L71 88mm gun was mounted on the proven Panther medium tank chassis. The gun was installed into the box shaped superstructure which used thick steel armor of 80mm at the front and 50mm at the sides. These frontal and side armor plates were effectively inclined to obtain an improved protection. The gun mantlet called Saukopf (sow head) had a thickness of 100mm. A ball mounted MG42 bow machine gun was installed at the right side of the main gun. Weighing in at 46 tons and propelled by the powerful Maybach V12 cylinder engine, this tank destroyer had a well-balanced fire power, protection and mobility to high standards. Mass production started in January 1944 at MIAG firm, and during its production career, several improvements and alterations were made with feedback from the front lines. Early production models used a nearly flush gun mantlet collar, but it was replaced with a larger, bolt-fixed collar in October 1944. Larger diameter idler wheels were introduced at the same time. A heater for the crew compartment, and the same exhaust covers as equipped on the late production Panther G tanks were added, beginning from December. The Jagdpanther was first deployed to the Normandy campaign in June 1944, and 415 units were produced until April 1945. This kit features a multitude of external details including towing cables, exhaust and mufflers, ventilation grilles, tool racks, and headlights. It comes complete with one figure. Paint colors needed: TS-1 Red Brown, TS-2 Dark Green, TS-3 Dark Yellow, X-10 Gun Metal, X-18 Semi Gloss Black, XF-1 Flat Black, XF-15 Flat Flesh, XF-2 Flat White, XF-56 Metallic Grey, XF-60 Dark Yellow, XF-61 Dark Green, XF-63 German Grey, XF-64 Red Brown, and XF-65 Field Grey.

Feature

1:48.
Length: 213 mm.

Description

Following the successful entry of the Focke-Wulf Fw190A series of fighter aircraft over the English channel during the autumn of 1941, the German RLM requested high altitude version to complement the fighter fleet, and three projects were started. The Fw 190B used the B.M.W. 801 turbosupercharged radial engine and a pressurized cockpit, but very few of these were built. The Fw190C was powered by a 1,750hp Daimler Benz DB603A in-line engine, of which three prototypes were built. The third high altitude project was based on the Focke Wulf Fw190A airframe and powered by a Junkers engine. The fuselage was lengthened to accommodate the V-12 cylinder, liquid cooled, 1,750hp Jumo 213 engine, and made its initial flight during the winter of 1941 - 42. Five further prototypes were produced, plus small batch of Fw 190 D-Os were completed from standard production Fw 190A-7 airframes. These pre-production aircraft were followed by the Fw190 D-2 through D-8 designations. The Fw 190D-9 began production in June 1944, with early versions having the flat topped canopy, and from W. Nr. 210002 onwards having the Galland hood (blown canopy). It went into combat with the III/JG 54 Grunherz (Green Hearts) in September 1944, at Achmer, Germany, as top cover for the new Messerschmitt Me262 Jet fighters then entering service. The legendary Skyline GT-R was first created in 1969 as a road-going racer, and immediately won praise from motorsports enthusiasts. In May, 1989, Nissan unveiled a reincarnation of this superlative automobile, 16 years after its previous GT-R. The powerplant in this vehicle is a 2568cc, six cylinder, DOHC, 24 valve, twin ceramic turbocharged and intercooled 280 horsepower engine, which was designed from the outset for competition use. Combined with its refined multi-link suspension geometry, the vehicle minimizes the spin potential during hard competition running. Powerful ventilated disk brakes all-around ensures no fade stopping performance at the track or on the street. The aggressive body styling is sculptured by the massive front and rear blister fenders, front air-dam, and large rear spoiler to obtain downforce performance.
