Premium fiberglass matThis Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat is marine grade and suitable for boat building and repairs, roofing, pond lining and many other applications. The mat is made of high quality E-glass strands. It can be used with epoxy, polyester or vinyl ester resin, including West Systems epoxy. This chopped strand mat has a good wet out. It is quick to wet through and has high absorption. It can be torn, avoiding the need for cutting, and is ideal for laminating or molding complex shapes.
Delivered ready to use
This Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat is packaged as a roll (folding can damage the fibers). The roll is 50in x 30ft with a weight of 1.5oz per square foot. The strands have a random alignment, giving the fabric an even strength with little or no stretch. Molds made from this fiberglass mat will be equally stiff in all directions. Working with fiberglass can be hazardous: be sure to work in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate protective clothing.
