Safely, Securely Holds and Protects Your Headphones "My teenage son is a gamer," says Audio Advisor President Wayne Schuurman. "In my opinion, he plays video games too often and too long. For some games he wears gamer headphones - headphones with a microphone - so he can talk to his friends while he plays. When he does this, his headphone cord is constantly getting tangled with the other cords from his computer and other gear. He asked me for a headphone bracket he could clamp on the edge of his desk to keep his cords from getting tangled. "That should be easy to find, right? Well, not so fast. Most of the desktop brackets I found were poorly made and either didn't clamp tightly on his desktop or broke after a few weeks. After a few months of searching, I finally found a bracket I liked, but I couldn't buy it. It came free with a pair of $200 major name brand headphones. Rats, I didn't want to pay $200 just for a good headphone bracket. I contacted Pangea Audio with what I needed and asked them what they could come up with. "The designers at Pangea Audio took all of our research, photographs, diagrams, plus a few samples, and sent them to their engineers in the Far East. After a few months, they developed a product that surprised me by exceeding my expectations!" Extremely Versatile Design The Pangea Audio HPBDS1 desktop headphone bracket is extremely versatile. The three-position mounting bracket securely clamps onto anything solid from 1/8" to 1-3/8" thick. The bracket can be positioned horizontally on a desktop or vertically on an office panel. The large screw-type clamp is easy to tighten and is padded so it won't mar the wood finish. Headphones rest on a large soft leatherette pad that fits a wide range of headphones - from low priced to higher end models and, even gamer headphones! According to Wayne, "The HPBDS1 mounted tightly on my son's desktop and, after three months of use (and abuse) he still hasn't managed to break it. Excellent!"
