  • Burning / Itching / Irritation
  • Excessively Dry Eyes
  • Stickiness / Crusting of Lid Margin
  • Foreign Body Sensation
  • Sensitivity to Light
  • Blurry Vision

Instructions for Use

  1. Place your eye mask on a clean, microwave-safe plate in your microwave. Heat according to the power rating of your microwave (see actual product instructions for recommended heating times)
  2. Once heated, shake flax seeds from one end of the eye mask to the other a few times to ensure even heat distribution. Next, check the temperature of the fuzzy cotton side of the mask against the inside of your wrist. If it feels too hot, wait a few moments and try again. The mask should feel comfortably warm before applying to your eyes.
  3. Lie back and gently place the cotton side of the eye mask over your eyes. This side will feel much cooler and should always be used first. After 3-5 minutes, you will notice the cotton side cooling down and you may want to switch to the silk side for the remainder of the treatment. For best results, leave the eye mask on for a total of 5-10 minutes.
  4. Immediately following the hot compress, massage your eyelids to expel any debris or blockages from your meibomian glands (tiny oil glands lining the margin of the eyelids). To do this, close your eyes and sweep the pad of your index finger across the length of your eyelid, starting in the inner corner of your eye and moving outwards. You'll want to repeat this 5-10 times for both upper and lower lids, placing your finger just above the eyelashes for the upper lid, and just below the eyelashes for the lower lid.
