Feature
Cowhide LeatherHandmade
Custom made-to-order product
Crafted in Spokane, WA USA
Description
The Axe Handle Guard is designed specifically for the axe/hatchet that you select. It will protect your axe handle from breakdown. It can save you from having to replace the handle, but with time, the guard will break down also. It is made out of _" thick veg-tanned cowhide and sealed with Neatsfoot oil. You have two color options - brown or natural cowhide color (color may vary from photos). The brown guard will show scratching more quickly than the tan. The size of the guard will vary with the axe you choose. Generally, the smaller the axe, the smaller and shorter the axe guard will be. Fitting: Each axe guard is fitted and formed to the axe handle, so it will fit extremely well if you have the same handle. If it does not fit perfectly, you can moisten the guard and tighten it onto the axe when it is moist, it will take the shape of your axe and become formed to it as it dries. The leather will have holes made for the lace, and provided with the guard will be a 2 _ foot length of leather lace, which is more than you'll need, but makes it much easier to lace the guard on. Also, you can use para-cord, shoe laces, or other lace. When tightening lace, dont pull very hard, as leather can tear. If you have a sheath for your axe (from ROG or otherwise) with a strap that loops around the back of the handle, you may need to stretch the strap just slightly to fit. You can first try this without moistening the strap, but if that doesnt work, you can do so after slightly moistening the strap and stretching until it snaps into position; allow it to dry like this. If you are getting a holster for your axe, go up one size, unless you are already getting a size large holster. Stock: The axe handle guards will be made to order, so please allow at least one week for production. Production time will go down as we get a feel for the demand. Axe Sheath for Marbles Camp Axe (Tan/Orange)

Description
First - Please check the posting picture with sizes to sure your axe fits! 3-" from Toe-to-heal of axe, and 5-" +/- 1/16" from Toe-to-shoulder This sheath is hand-formed specifically and exactly for the Marbles Camp Axe. It is made out of full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide. You can leave it this way, or you can treat it with an oil/product of your choice. The sheath is handmade in Spokane, Washington. The construction of the sheath starts with three pieces of leather: the main body of the sheath, the securing strap and the welt. The main body is folded over a welt that is inserted between the two folded half's, which prevents the blade of the inserted axe from cutting the stitch that is placed to hold the sheath together along with the glue. The sheath is then hand stitched and steel rivets are placed at the corners to reinforce the body. The axe head blade, when placed in the sheath, is prevented from touching the rivets because of the welt. The retention strap is then secured with a steel rivet and a steel snap is added for easy on/off action. This sheath is built to last, and quality hand made in the USA (Spokane, Washington). Finish to the edges of the leather is applied for aesthetic appeal. The color of the leather may vary a little bit, as leather is naturally slightly different shades of color. This sheath fits this axe like a glove! We also have an updated maker's mark stamp, please see last photo for detail. The makers mark in this picture is on a different product, but on this sheath, it will be stamped in the same location as the previous mark. The logo stamp is reads "ROG Handmade".
