ULTRA-STRONG LOCKING WEDGE: HAVEN has been tested to be 10x stronger than a standard deadbolt lock. HAVEN is anchored to the floor and able to distribute force applied to the door into a 30-inch steel baseplate. The locking wedge flexes to receive force applied making your entire door stronger at preventing a residential door break in.EASY TO USE: HAVEN Mech is really simple to use. The locking wedge is engaged by stepping on the activation pedal. To unlock, simply step on the locking wedge.
EASY TO INSTALL: HAVEN can easily be installed onto hardwood, tile, concrete, vinyl or any hard- flat surface. The average customer install time reported is 14 minutes. A template and easy to follow instructions are included. The HAVEN Mech is installed with 6 Philips head screws to attach the lock to your floor. The locking wedge gate cover is removed allowing the installer access to the 6 installation holes in the steel baseplate. Installation support videos can be found online.
Will HAVEN Fit My Door? Take the Nickel Test: HAVEN is 0.80 inches tall and should fit between the bottom of your door and the top of your floor. To test this, take a 5 cent USD nickel, stand it on its side and place on the floor in the path of the inswing door, make sure your door will pass over the nickel. If a gap is present, additional 1/8-inch-wide risers are available. (One riser included in the box also works as installation template).
